Blue Cheese & Walnut Salad

Ingredients:

  • 3–4 oz Statesboro Blue Cheese, crumbled

  • 2 ripe pears, cored and sliced

  • 5 oz mixed greens (like arugula and butter lettuce)

  • 1/3 cup walnuts, lightly toasted

  • Optional: 1 tbsp lemon juice (to toss pears and prevent browning)

Dressing:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp white wine vinegar or lemon juice

  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. If desired, toss pear slices with a bit of lemon juice to keep them fresh.

  2. On a serving platter or individual plates, arrange the mixed greens.

  3. Top with sliced pears, crumbled blue cheese, and toasted walnuts.

  4. Whisk together the dressing ingredients and drizzle over the salad just before serving.
