
Pear & Statesboro Gorgonzola Flatbread
Ingredients:
4 oz Statesboro Gorgonzola, crumbled
1 ball of pizza dough or 1 prepared flatbread
2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
1/2 cup ricotta or mascarpone cheese
1–2 tsp olive oil
A few sprigs fresh thyme
Optional: drizzle of honey or balsamic glaze
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 425°F. Roll out the pizza dough into a rustic circle or oval, or place the prepared flatbread on a baking sheet.
Brush the dough lightly with olive oil.
Spread a thin, even layer of ricotta or mascarpone over the dough.
Arrange the pear slices on top. Sprinkle crumbled Statesboro Gorgonzola evenly across the flatbread.
Add a few sprigs of fresh thyme and season lightly with salt and pepper.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crisp and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Optional: Drizzle with honey or balsamic glaze before serving.
Slice and enjoy warm.
